Jimmy also provides transport and equipment for gathering heather on the moor. His dry sense of humour is much appreciated by everyone. He is notorious for losing his hat when riding.

Graham follows a long tradition of tailmen, who ride on the back of the horse facing the opposite way to the rest of the riders. This is a very demanding position due to the width of the horse's hind quarters. By pumping water from the belly of the horse into the woven tail, and flicking it, a fine mist is released onto the spectators. Graham joined the group the same time as Trevor.

Occupation - Qualified Precision Engineer

Philip is the newest recruit and is on probation, as yet he still has not ridden in a Carnival. Philip adds to the horse by walking alongside, collecting money, and acting as ladderman when any of the riders wish to get down from the horse. He made his debut appearance in Ilfracombe Carnival in 1999.
